Buy a tool to open up the back of the watch. Seiko has specific tools for opening up a smooth back watch. The tool looks a lot like a flathead screwdriver with a small handle. If you happen to have screws in the watch plate on the back of your watch, you can simply use a small screwdriver to remove the back of the watch.

Carefully remove the back watch plate. Insert the Seiko watch tool (or a flathead screwdriver if you choose) and apply firm force to pry the back of the watch off. Be careful not to damage any of the intricate pieces under the watch plate.

Dab the inside of the watch with a dry paper towel. The paper towel will absorb excess moisture from the inside of the watch. Carefully move the paper towel around the edges of the watch.

Leave the back off of the watch and let the watch sit overnight. Position the watch so that the exposed back of the watch is facing up, and leave it on the table or the counter overnight allowing moisture to evaporate from the inside of the watch.

If the moisture isn't gone from the watch after letting it sit overnight, consult a Seiko watch expert. They can dissemble the watch and usually fix your problem.
